POPULAR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

Farmer’s Market Sowing Seeds Growing Futures:  We look forward to having you with us during our annual Farmer’s Market for the community and Detroit residents.  Held every Tuesday beginning June 7th until October 4th 3:00pm – 6:00p.m.  To successfully operate this program we need you!  Please visit our sign-up sheet below, and for questions please contact Tess Lusson at tlusson@joysouthfield.org.  You will be contacted within 2-3 days of signing up.  

Internship opportunity

Community Health & Wellness Intern: This role will serve as the Community Health Intern for Joy Southfield Community
Development Corporation, JSCDC.  This position is 10-20 hours/week.  The position requires support during market days.  Every Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during Farmer’s Market season.  The primary responsibilities may include supporting community health programming, community outreach, and capacity building within the Cody-Rouge neighborhood of Detroit, MI. ON-GOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

Creative Content:  Are you a visionary, organized, creative and efficient?  You will be provided our Brand Guidelines to implement artwork for newsletters, fliers, and social media platforms.  We are flexible and will absolutely work with your schedule to create and share content.  Commitment to range from 1-3 months or 2-3x a week dependent on assignment.  Volunteers are encouraged to apply experience to their resumes.  Experience with TikTok a plus!

Salesforce CRM & Management:  Good at data-management, learning systems and creating how-to documents transferable to new learners?  You will be trusted to input data into our Customer Relationship Management tool and to create reports.  We are flexible and will absolutely work with your schedule to successfully complete projects.  Commitment to range from 1-3 months or 2-3x a week dependent on assignment.  Volunteers are encouraged to apply experience to their resumes.  Proficiency with Salesforce a plus!

Community Health Intern:  Are you a Public Health student interested in grassroots experience?  Can you multi-task to work with all team members in Program Development?  Our Senior level staff is seeking an individual to help reach program and community goals.  In this role, you will understand the programs and services deployed under the HEAL Initiative and work to improve overall quality of care and services for the residents we serve.  We are flexible and will absolutely work with your schedule to successfully complete projects and assignments.
